What was your favorite part of this chapter. Mine was how we found out how Chris isn't just a stupid, annoying jock. I felt so bad for him when Hot Toddy read the letter out loud. He is really the stupid, annoying, obnoxious party animal. Characters like that frustrate me. They think that they know everything and they try to be funny, but really, all they do is hurt other peoples feelings. Do you see yourself as a character in this section? I see myself as Jenny and a little bit of the watcher because do see myself watching people, but then I also comfort people when they aren't feeling well or if they need support. Jenny seems very motherly and like her a lot, too. Did you have any questions so far? I don't, at least not yet.
So, this chapter was all about Chris. First he went to a party; he got drunk and was then hung-over the next day. Not surprising because if you drink too much, you are all gross the next day. So, then he slept and when he woke up he had MORE beer. What the heck is wrong with this guy! If having too much beer is what caused his hangover, then why have more? It's like if you have an allergy and when you are almost completely better, you eat more of the food you are allergic to. Doesn’t make sense... AND THEN! Hotty Toddy came in, took Chris’ money, and read the note. When someone says stop, they usually mean it. Chris had a reason and Todd didn’t respect that until it was too late. BOO TODD!! BOOOO! It didn’t help that their other roommate joined in even after he started to sympathize. Quick note: when you do something like Todd did, you can’t just say “Oh, we’re cool BRUH”
I do agree with you. Why would someone drink more beer if they weren't feeling well after drinking it. I love the comparison you made with an allergy. But, I think the reason he drank more beer was because that made him feel good. Drinking the beer made him feel good for a while, like he was floating, or he just wasn't really in the moment. Then, the beer didn't make him feel good, so to make himself feel better, he just drank and drank and drank. UUUGGGHHH!! I HATE HOT TODDY! He is definitely not hot. I could never live with or be friends with a person like that. He just annoys me so much. And then when he kept saying "Oh, we're cool bruh," You just can't say that after you do something like that. It's cruel and mean. You shouldn't go through peoples things, it just isn't right! If he hadn't done that, then there would not have been a problem in the 1st place!
Do you think the italicized part will relate to the story?
Well. We had very different emotions. Ha. I’m glad we’re partners…and you’re right next to me…I’m going to poke you. Alright, I poked you, it was all in good fun but let me respond. I do feel bad for Chris, I thought he was like Shane where he was all “ARGH! LOOK AT MEH THE BIG HUNK OF HANDSOME!” alas, he is not. He is one cool boy who does things like get drunk. Doesn’t everyone though? I really wanted to go into the book and hug him. That’s why his parents were so awful, they had lost a child and it took away their love. The father would probably feel so guilty even though it wasn’t his fault. Just imagine, seeing your kid at the bottom of the pool, dead. I can see you as Jenny and the watcher, yet, I don’t think I really relate to any of the characters..maybe later, but not , now. Who knows, something might happen to one of the characters and I could be like, “hey, that happened to me…” The crazy characters annoy me too…they are just jerks and are playing with emotions…UGGGHHHHHH!!!!! You never know, maybe one day you will be exacty lik the characters in this book. Hopeful not like Hot Toddy though. I would also be devastated if I saw my brother or son dead in a pool. It would just be awful. I totally get why his parents made him start swimming at such an early age. To be honest, I think I would probably make my kid do that to. YOU? On another note. Why do you think the watcher never told us about her bug bites? Do you think that bug bites represent something? I thought they represented all of her problems. Her problems are biting at her legs trying to get to her, while she keeps scratching them, trying to make them go away, but it isn't working. I will poke you know! HAHAHA! Just poked you!
I feel bad for her, but I want to know more about her. Since I don't know much about her, how do I not know that we re over thinking her story and she does live with a nice family, just a weird one! I asked you about the italicized part because I am undecided. I think some parts will relate to the story, while others will just be left behind in the italicized world!
